Anyone who wishes to participate, please send 3-6 pieces to enter that are saved as .jpg or .png files, preferably between 1200x1600 pixels and 1920x1080 pixels in size. This should make sending the images via email a smoother process, and the images will still be high enough quality for viewing in the video. Please send images to Brianna Moore at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For anyone open to being featured in the art show video, Tom (my boyfriend) and I have a HD video camera available for us to record. Our vision would be some form of introduction by an officer at the beginning of the video, and each participating artist's take on their submissions (ie, the things they would say if they were standing next to their art talking to people). This is not a requirement, but just an idea we had that would make the virtual art show professional in appearance. Alternatively, participating artists would submit a written biography and description of their submitted artwork with a portrait photo. These segments should be brief, no more than 1 minute for interviews or 400-500 words or less for the written bios. We can use previously submitted bios if needed. Artists are advised to include contact and sales information for artwork so that we can include it in the video.
Our hope is to include music under public domain as the artists and artwork are sequentially presented. Not sure how long the final product will be, depends on how many participants enter. When everything is ready, we can post the video to the WVAL Facebook page/website for a date to be announced (perhaps the second week in December).
All artists featured here are members of the Watauga Valley Art League and display a sampling of their artwork for your enjoyment. Paintings may be purchased through direct contact with the individual artist.
Also included on this site is information on the art league and current news relative to the league and it's members. Please click on the artist or item of your interest.
